Anton Saleh. I kid you not when I say this young man overcame huge obstacles in life. A health survivor dealing with family health issues, Anton was faced with situations in which he had to strengthen his mind in order to aid his body. Curious words that would usually taunt were turned into a driving motivational force.

I always remembered Anton as the delegate who would fall asleep under the bed when I was teaching curriculum, but would always know what was going on when awoken. He always had an amazing amount of energy during activities and was very encouraging to the other delegates in the group.

This amazing delegate ran for state council and got his wish. I am so proud of him. Although it may be true that I made an impact on his life, I think it serves more justice to give him the credit of changing my life and making an impact on me. When faced with adversity, no longer will I hesitate to take it head on. I'll be like Anton and face it with my head held high. Congratulations Anton! You make me so proud. :)
