Engagement

I've noticed that I've started to take people more seriously when their Facebook statuses say they're getting engaged. It's because we are at the age where people are started to get engaged. Heck we're getting to the age where some of our friends are starting to get married, if they haven't already. It's a scary thought, but it's honestly true. Here's the breakdown:

From what I've heard, most ladies want to start having kids anywhere between 26 and 32. Let's just choose an average age of 29. Now, let's just guess-timate that most want t be married for about 3 years before they start having kids. This puts us down to age 26. And before you get married, I'd say being in a relationship for a minimum of 5 years would do the trick. This brings us down to 21. Therefore, at this age, in order to have kids at 29, marry at 26, and start a serious relationship at 21, we need to stop dating "for fun" and start dating "to be married". People don't plan this far out ahead and they may find themselves, at the age of 25, rushing into a marriage because they don't want to have kids too late.

So, if these ages are similar to your future plans, think reasonably, stop messing around, and get serious. Time will float by so quickly and you don't want it to sweep you unexpectedly.

Just a thought.
