Ice Cream, Memories, and Nails

Today, Momma Phan and I decided to make some homemade coffee ice cream. She had just bought a new ice cream maker and wanted to try it out. Now, when I say "we" made ice cream, I mean "she watched her Korean drama while I made the ice cream". In any case, it was pretty fun. I was a little hesitant about the consistency when it came out, but it was as creamy as a cream of mushroom soup. :)

I never realized how easy it was to make ice cream and I really enjoyed the luxury of the flexibility in the recipe. You can honestly make any flavor and add anything as long as you have the base mixture of milk, whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla (granted you're not making sorbet or anything fruity). I had a lot of fun and I'm sure Mommy did too.

After dropping Mark off at the airport and picking Ashley up at the exact same time at the exact same location (I know, weird right? Just take a moment to visualize how that went down) Ashley and I decided to go get some nail polish. We wanted to try out the new Crackle from OPI. We decided to drive to a shop that sold all sorts of nail polishes. We thought we knew where it was but unfortunately, we went to the wrong place. After making a U-turn, we ended up driving right past Dad's old furniture shop.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ashley give it a glance. It was an interesting sight. I remember when Mommy would drive by there and I would get out to pick up the check for Tae Kwon Do practice. I remember when he would have me come to work with him. He'd hand me the duster and tell me to dust the table tops. Then he'd hide dollar bills in some of the furniture so I'd be able to pick them up when I dusted it.

Meh... I don't feel like going on anymore about these memories. It's... depressing.

!@#$%^&*()_+

Ashley and I drove to Ulta and bought $70 worth of nail polish... yup, you read that correctly.. $70. We went home and started painting our nails.

Let me just say, the Crackle is pretty darn awesome. It's intriguing to watch and fun to coordinate colors. I used two coats of a pastel light blue as the base and one coat of a black crackle.

Pretty neat huh? :)
Try it out!
